The Duple Bus builder was founded in Hornsey in East London by Herbert White in 1919 and celebrated 70 years in the business before closing in 1989. This model dates from the 1950s and appears for its fourth outing in the eye-catching black and red livery of Bamber Bridge Motor Services, whose name is inscribed in gold across the front and rear of the single-decker, as well as being embedded into the white masking along the sides. The interior flooring is moulded in pale ivory in contrast to the brown-red seating. According to the destination blind, this 41 seater coach, registered DRN 357, is off on an excursion. Passengers would have plenty of time to enjoy the view along the way with its 30 mph speed restriction!
